FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS

A LETTER FROM
PASTOR MARCO SALAZAR

When I look back to our first Sunday gathering of Radiant Church in 2017, I could have never anticipated the incredible journey God would allow us to experience in such a short time. What started as a portable church with a small team, has grown into a thriving community of Christ followers seeking to make Him known in our city. Over the past six years, we have seen people encounter Jesus in life-changing ways. Marriages have been strengthened, addictions have been broken, freedom found, and lives restored. We are a growing community, and the lost are turning to Christ. The result of meeting physical and spiritual needs in Bay City and around the world, has caused accelerated, supernatural growth at Radiant. I believe God has trusted us with a unique opportunity to continue to expand for others to experience Jesus and see healing in our community. God is calling us to prepare a place of worship and refuge FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS!

Our prayer for this initiative is to make room so more can encounter the presence of God and experience life transformation. This season at Radiant is a monumental moment. This requires us to continue on a spiritual journey together, to engage with God and surrender to His leading as He reveals to each of us, what our part will be in reaching and seeing a transformation in Bay City for His Kingdom. We expect God to do something extraordinary in the future and my prayer is everyone would be involved in seeing this cause become a reality. Whether you have been a part of Radiant from the beginning, or you are new to the Radiant family, I hope you will accept this invitation to participate in FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS.

Together we’ll see God’s Kingdom come in Bay City as it is in Heaven. Everyone’s sacrifice matters and your participation counts immensely. Would you join us in the FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS initiative? I want to conclude by personally thanking you for being a part of what God is doing through Radiant Church and I look forward to taking this journey together. My heart is full of anticipation for the miracles we’ll see in this season!

Sincerely yours,

Pastor Marco Salazar

OUR FUTURE

Our analysis reveals our ability for growth at our trending rate will cease in fall of 2024. If we do nothing we will simply run out of room. Then what?

OUR CHALLENGES

WE ARE OUTGROWING OUR BUILDING

MAXED OUT OUR KIDS SPACE
We are averaging 115 kids each week and still turning away kids because of a lack of room.

KIDS AREA OVERLAPS INTO OUR FOYER
This poses two problems: We are beginning to experience overcrowding in our foyer while the safety of our kids is compromised. We need a kid’s area separate from our foyer to ensure safety and ease.

PARKING HAS REACHED FULL CAPACITY
Cars are having to park on the grassy area on a weekly basis due to both lots being full.

INADEQUATE OFFICE SPACE
Limited office space impedes our staff's productivity and ability to minister to people effectively.

LACK OF SOCIAL SPACE
Our social spaces are becoming increasingly overcrowded in between our Sunday services hindering fellowship and community within our church.

WE HAVE SURPASSED 75% CAPACITY IN OUR SANCTUARY
This threatens our future growth potential.

OUR OPTIONS

HOW DO WE STEWARD THE GROWTH GOD’S ENTRUSTED TO US?

WE CAN WAIT AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS
This would be unfaithful to the vision God has given us and would mean rejecting those who are lost, hurting and without Christ.

ADD MORE SERVICES
At some point this will overtax our staff and volunteers.

LAUNCH ANOTHER CAMPUS
It would be difficult to replicate the Radiant experience without losing key staff members and volunteers.

BUY A NEW BUILDING
We are sitting on almost 12 acres. We believe God gave us this land for strategic growth and expansion.

OUR PLAN

FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS

BUILD A NEW 500-SEAT SANCTUARY
This would accommodate our growth and allow more to experience the presence of God through our services.

INCREASE CHILDREN'S SPACE
Renovating our current facility to increase our Radiant Kids area will allow us to continue to pass the faith on to the next generation.

CHILDREN'S MINISTRY RESOURCE ROOM
A new resource room will allow volunteers a place to check-in, gather for prayer, and have team meetings.

INCREASE OUR FOYER AREA
Increase the size of our foyer area to provide community space and accommodate guests' needs.

ADD MORE PARKING
Add new paved parking to accommodate increased traffic.

BUILD A NEW OFFICE WING
A new office wing will enable staff to provide ministry while overseeing daily operations.

PSALM 22:30-31 NLT

"Our children will also serve him. FUTURE GENERATIONS will hear about the wonders of the Lord. His righteous acts will be told to those not yet born. They will hear about everything he has done."

OUR GOALS

ESTIMATED COSTS

PHASE 1
$3.5 Million

Construct new worship space W/ the capacity of 200 more seats per service, new offices, 60 new parking spaces, and landscaping.
Total new space = 13,500 sf.

PHASE 2
$1.5 Million

Two new kids classrooms, renovation of current space for additional classrooms, and bigger foyer.

GIVING PERIOD - 2 YEARS

OUR WIN THRESHOLD IS $600,000

This reflects great sacrifice against the projected capacity of our congregation.

GIVING TOWARDS PHASE 2

Our $600,000 pledge goal has been met. We praise God for His miraculous provision! We're asking for continued generosity as our goal is to complete phase 2 of our project immediately after phase 1 is finished. Your continued sacrificial generosity also means less money we have to borrow. Less debt equals more margin. More margin equals more resources to invest into the ministry needs of our congregation, community, and beyond!

GIVING POTENTIAL

Our prayer is everyone will participate at some level. God is not interested in equal giving, but equal sacrifice. Please pray for the Lord’s leading on what sacrifice He would have you make to help reach our community.

CREATIVE WAYS TO GIVE

REDIRECT DISCRETIONARY SPENDING

Switch from premium cable, Dish or DirecTV to a basic package. Try cutting out Showtime, HBO, or other premium packages. Giving up Hulu, Netflix or Amazon Prime Video is one of the ways you may consider to sacrifice for future generations.

INCOME TAX REFUND

Commit your tax refunds or a portion of it to the Lord.

UNIQUE GIFTS

Donating an asset like stocks, vehicles, boats, recreational vehicles, etc., to the church can be a creative way to give. If this is a consideration please contact the church office for arrangements. Redirect retirement funds for the 24-months of our giving period.

POSTPONING PURCHASES

Hold off on discretionary purchases to direct those funds toward for future generations.

ADJUST YOUR VACATION

For one or more of the years, do something close to home and inexpensive like day hikes, picnics, or take a 3 to 4-day vacation instead of a week. Hotel and airfare cost savings could go toward your commitment.

FAQs

    • Because of the congregation’s generous support, we have reached our initial pledge goal of $600,000 for phase 1.

    • We are now setting our sights on phase 2 which includes additional kids classrooms and the renovation of our current kids spaces. To attain this $5 million dream, continuous, sacrificial giving will be needed.

    • We are asking all who call Radiant their home church to regularly pray for this dream to become a reality and that future generations would come to know Jesus in our region.

    • In addition to regular prayer, we also are asking our church body to prayerfully make a financial commitment for 12 months above and beyond the tithe. These pledges are then paid either weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly or annually over a 12-month period.
